As the first post to this blog, I will skip the background information and history. My resume is attainable for anyone interested who isn't looking to steal my identity (for some reason) and questions can be answered. I introduce to you an archive of my work as I revisit my most intuitive skill: Programming, Development and Design.
Two years of Computer Science in High School, PERL and Java Scripting in college, and many websites later, I realized that graphic design wasn't lucrative (in Maine) and that being a receptionist, well, sucks. I miss coding and I miss making things happen. Creating. Thinking.
I am a natural entrepreneur, an inventor, a creative problem solver. After surveying several community members and professionals and making an awkward and wonderful visit to my old college teacher Mrs. Green, I realized that I have a a great deal of wasted time to make up for. I work full time at a job that doesn't pay the bills with a car that's not going to make it another two years. It's time to get to work.
Full steam ahead.
Currently, I am studying on edX online. My current course is a refresher for perspective and gaining momentum: Introduction to Computer Science: CS50 by HarvardX. My first experiment in applying what I already know, after fast-forwarding through Week 0 and learning too much about binary, was this little guy, on Scratch:
"Vampire Bat" 4/28/15
(Flash 10.2 or higher required)
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/59466798/
He's a little bat that flies around and does something cool. No, I did not make the clip art. :)
